Capture system audio

Capture the audio playing through a Windows output and save a local text transcript with Koeva.

How system audio works

Koeva can record the audio playing through a selected Windows output, process it locally, and open a save dialog for the resulting text transcript.

Capture an output

  1. Open Koeva settings and choose the output device you want to capture.
  2. Set a System audio shortcut. No system-audio shortcut is configured by default.
  3. Save your settings, then use the shortcut once to start capture.
  4. Use the same shortcut again to stop capture and wait for local processing.
  5. Choose where to save the generated text transcript.

Before recording

System audio capture uses the same local speech-recognition path as microphone recording. Translation also applies when it is enabled.
