Overview

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Koeva website, downloads, desktop app, license services, payment flows, updates, support, and related services.

By downloading, installing, purchasing, activating, or using Koeva, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the software or services.

Access And Plans

Koeva may offer free, subscription, lifetime, trial, and enterprise plans. Each plan includes the features, usage limits, prices, billing period, renewal terms, and device limits shown at the time of purchase or stated in a written enterprise agreement.

Free access may be limited by usage time, device limits, feature availability, online checks, or other safeguards. Paid features may require a valid license, active subscription, or active enterprise entitlement.

Koeva may check license status, linked devices, update eligibility, runtime access, and free-plan usage to apply the correct limits, prevent misuse, and keep the software working securely.

License

Subject to these terms, Koeva grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the software for your own lawful use.

You may not resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, bypass license controls, or use Koeva in a way that infringes third-party rights, compromises the service, or violates applicable law.

You may not copy, extract, tamper with, modify, or separately use Koeva runtime components, models, installers, signed policies, license checks, update mechanisms, or other protected technical components except where applicable law expressly allows it.

Product Features And Local Processing

Koeva is designed to process microphone audio, system audio, supported audio or video files, transcripts, translations, custom spellings, and prompts locally on your Windows device instead of uploading them to Koeva for transcription or translation.

You remain responsible for the files, recordings, text, prompts, custom spellings, exports, and other material you use with Koeva. You must have the rights and permissions needed to record, transcribe, translate, save, or share that material.

Transcripts, translations, punctuation, formatting, language detection, and custom spelling behavior may contain mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any output before relying on it.

Accounts, License Keys, And Devices

You are responsible for keeping license keys, purchase emails, receipts, and device access secure. A license key may be linked to a limited number of devices depending on the plan.

You may remove a device through the app where supported. Koeva may suspend, revoke, or refuse a license key if it appears invalid, expired, refunded, charged back, shared beyond plan limits, or used abusively.

Payments And Refunds

Paid plans are billed according to the price, currency, taxes, trial terms, billing period, renewal terms, and checkout provider terms shown at checkout or in a written agreement. Subscriptions can be canceled to stop future renewals.

Koeva may use third-party payment providers to process checkout, licenses, receipts, subscription management, refunds, taxes, and fraud checks. Koeva does not store full payment card numbers.

Refund requests are handled under the refund policy available on this site, the checkout provider rules that apply to the transaction, and any mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot be limited by these terms.

Updates And Availability

Koeva may provide updates, fixes, compatibility changes, security improvements, installer changes, model or runtime changes, license-policy changes, and feature changes. Some updates may be required to keep using the software safely, maintain license access, or stay on a supported version.

Koeva is provided with reasonable care, but uninterrupted access, permanent compatibility, identical performance across devices, and error-free operation are not guaranteed. Local performance depends on your computer, operating system, graphics card, drivers, available storage, and power settings.

Koeva may discontinue or modify free features, trial access, legacy versions, unsupported platforms, integrations, or distribution methods where reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational, or product reasons.

Support

Support is provided through the contact details shown on this site or on your receipt. Enterprise support may be governed by a separate written agreement.

Termination

Koeva may suspend or end access to paid features, license validation, downloads, updates, support, or related services if a license is invalid, payment fails, a chargeback or refund occurs, plan limits are exceeded, security checks fail, or these terms are breached.

You may stop using Koeva at any time. Subscription cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund payments already made unless required by law or the refund policy.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Koeva is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or decisions made from unreviewed transcripts or translations.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable rights you may have under consumer, digital content, digital services, payment, refund, or product-conformity laws that apply to you.

If you are a consumer and a written complaint cannot be resolved directly with Koeva, you may have access to a consumer dispute resolution or mediation process where applicable law provides one.

Disputes

Please contact Koeva first so the issue can be reviewed directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the competent courts, venue, and governing law are determined by the rules that apply to the parties and the transaction.

If you are a consumer, mandatory jurisdiction, venue, and consumer protection rules that apply to you remain unaffected.

Changes To These Terms

Koeva may update these terms to reflect product, legal, or business changes. The updated version applies from the date shown below, unless a later effective date is stated.

If a change materially affects an active paid subscription or enterprise agreement, Koeva will take reasonable steps to provide notice where required by applicable law or by the agreement.
