Terms of Service
These terms explain how Koeva can be accessed, licensed, and used.
Overview
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Koeva, a desktop application provided by Koeva for local speech-to-text transcription and related features.
By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using Koeva, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the software.
Provider
Koeva is provided by Koeva.
For support or contract questions, contact Koeva at support@koeva.app.
Access And Plans
Koeva may offer free, paid, lifetime, and enterprise plans. Each plan includes the features, usage limits, prices, and device limits shown at the time of purchase or stated in a written enterprise agreement.
Some features may require a paid license. Koeva may check license status to apply the correct plan limits and prevent misuse.
License
Subject to these terms, Koeva grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the software for your own lawful use.
You may not resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, bypass license controls, or use Koeva in a way that infringes third-party rights or violates applicable law.
Local Processing
Koeva is designed to process transcription and translation locally on your device. You remain responsible for the files, recordings, prompts, custom spellings, and text you use with Koeva.
Transcripts and translations may contain mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any output before relying on it.
Payments And Refunds
Paid plans are billed according to the price and billing period shown at checkout or in a written agreement. Subscriptions can be canceled to stop future renewals.
If you buy Koeva as a consumer, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases, subject to the conditions and exceptions required by French consumer law.
Refund requests are handled under the refund policy available on this site and any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply.
Updates And Availability
Koeva may provide updates, fixes, compatibility changes, or security improvements. Some updates may be required to keep using the software safely or to maintain license access.
Koeva is provided with reasonable care, but uninterrupted access, permanent compatibility, and error-free operation are not guaranteed.
Support
Support is provided through the contact details shown on this site or on your receipt. Enterprise support may be governed by a separate written agreement.
Termination
Koeva may suspend or end access to paid features if a license is invalid, payment fails, plan limits are exceeded, or these terms are breached.
You may stop using Koeva at any time. Subscription cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund payments already made unless required by law or the refund policy.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Koeva is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or decisions made from unreviewed transcripts or translations.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.
Consumer Mediation
If you are a consumer and a written complaint cannot be resolved directly with Koeva, you may have access to consumer mediation under French law.
The competent consumer mediator details will be added before commercial launch to consumers once designated.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you remain unaffected.
In case of dispute, the competent courts are determined under applicable French procedural rules.
Changes To These Terms
Koeva may update these terms to reflect product, legal, or business changes. The updated version applies from the date shown below, unless a later effective date is stated.
